Accountants for limited company landlords

Holding property through a company solves one set of tax problems and creates another set of filings. We run the whole company side for SPV landlords: accounts, corporation tax, confirmation statements and the planning that makes the structure pay.

What an SPV landlord files

Annual accounts to Companies House, a corporation tax return to HMRC, a confirmation statement, and usually a personal self assessment for the director on top. Each is routine when planned, and expensive when remembered late. We run the calendar so nothing is.

Taking money out

Profits belong to the company until you extract them, and how you do it changes the total tax bill: salary, dividends, interest on director loans or leaving profits to compound inside the company for the next purchase. The right mix depends on your other income, and we revisit it each year rather than setting it once.

FAQs

Straight answers to the questions we hear most

100k
FAQ: What is a director's loan and why does it matter?

Do I still file a personal tax return with an SPV?

Usually yes. Dividends and other personal income still go through self assessment. We prepare the company and personal sides together so they agree.
FAQ: Can you take over an existing SPV?

Does my company pay the Annual Tax on Enveloped Dwellings?

ATED applies to companies holding residential property over the value threshold, though lettings businesses usually claim relief through an ATED return. The return still has to be filed.
